Join us at MCR Pride 2025! This year, Proud 2 b Parents will take part in the Pride Parade once again, and partner with Great Northern to create Proud Fest, for LGBT+ families & Allies Family Pride MCR.
Proud 2 b Parents at The Love Parade: Celebrating Every Family, Every Kind of Love
This year, Proud 2 b Parents is joining Manchester Pride’s Love Parade to proudly show our love—for our families, our community, and ourselves.
We believe that love is what defines a family. Through our parade entry, we’ll represent the diverse ways families are formed and sustained—through pregnancy, adoption, fostering, surrogacy, donor conception, co-parenting, and more. Every participant will wear a t-shirt symbolising their unique family structure, while holding signs of love and visibility. Together, we’ll walk in celebration and solidarity, ensuring that LGBT+ families are seen, heard, and celebrated.
At Proud 2 b Parents, we know that love isn't just a feeling—it’s an act of resilience, joy, and pride. Join us as we march through Manchester, sharing the message that every family is valid, and every kind of love matters.
Our parade entry
Our parade entry will celebrate the love within our families—love that conquers all! Every family is unique, created in different ways, but love is the bond that unites us.
Craft your love : You can create your own Love cape or Love wand for Parade acessories at our monthly get-together on 27th July at Cheeky Cherubs with our community artist Mandy. If you can’t make the monthly get-together or want to add that little bit extra our theme this year is Love, so please feel free to create your costumes, buy accessories and b Proud!
Get the look: Why not buy some of our ‘Proud’ merchandise to show your parent label, and your little ones can show their love for their grown-ups - all while raising essential funds for Proud 2 b Parents!
Don’t forget, if you can’t see what you’d like written on an item of clothing, simply get in touch with Rainbow & Co to perfectly customise your item. Whether it’s ‘Seahorse Dad’, ‘Mimi’, or ‘Proud Grandparent’ - they can create whatever you need!
These t-shirts, vest tops and baby grows will show unity and give visible representation of who we are. Even better - they can be used in future parade entries as well!
Volunteer for our parade entry to help showcase our presence and inform the Manchester community about our services and activities. We need people to hold our banner at the front and carry two large flags at the back to keep our group together as we walk!

More information about meeting points and additional details will be sent out closer to the time. Please remember to bring water and snacks, and consider modes of transport for your little ones, such as scooters, prams, wraps, or shoulders. After the parade, we will head back to the Great Northern Warehouse as a group to join Family Pride MCR. It's going to be a fun-filled, free celebration!
Top tip!
If you would like to make your own placard/sign/banner outside of our sessions, please be mindful of appropriate language, visual representation and being inclusive.
Proud 2 b Parents will need to ensure all homemade signs and outfits are appropriate for the parade entry prior to joining our walking entry. Thank you!
Parade Viewing Area, 11:30am - 2pm
If for whatever reason you can't join us in the parade, Proud 2 b Parents want to ensure you and your family have a space and welcome space to watch the parade go by. Therefore we have teamed up again with Great Northern to offer an exclusive viewing area for our families.
The community Hall has amazing views over Deansgate and you will be able to see the whole parade. This area will have reduced crowds and noise from the Parade, allowing children of all ages to enjoy MCR Pride.
Don’t forget, you buy some Proud 2 b Parents’ clothing too! There customisable t-shirts, jumpers, hoodies, and baby grows can say anything you like, from ‘Proud Parent’ to ‘Inky’ or ‘Papa’ or ‘Mimi’. Simply head over to our online shop.

Proud Fest - 12:00pm-6pm
This years FREE Proud Fest event will be taking place at Great Northern. The fun will kick off at 12.00pm with a variety of activities and fun for the whole family.
There will be a sand pit, play area, craft activities, boucny castles, Pride Mascots, acts, entertainment and much more. For the the grown ups there will be an array of stalls and information stands.
