Are you a trans or non-binary parent or carer? Do you want your little ones to grow up seeing families like their own, while connecting with other adults who just get it? Then Proud 2 b Us is for you!
At Proud 2 b Parents, we know how important it is to find your people. A space where you can show up as yourself, share experiences with others who understand the joys and challenges of being a gender-diverse parent or carer, and give your young people the chance meet other families like their own.
We're heading outdoors for a relaxed afternoon of wandering, checking out the ducks, chatting, and spending quality time together as a community. No pressure, no expectations — just a chance to connect, have a laugh, and enjoy being around people who understand.
A little note about the weather: November can be unpredictable, so wrap up warm! If the weather takes a turn and it's too wet to explore, we'll head into Salford Museum and Art Gallery instead.
WHAT'S CHANGING?
We're excited to announce that Proud 2 b Us will now offer in-person meet-ups every other month, giving our families more opportunities to connect face-to-face throughout the year!
We recognise that online spaces don't work for everyone, and we want to make our community as accessible and inclusive as possible. Whether you find connecting in person easier, want your children to meet other families like yours, or simply fancy getting out and about with people who understand, we'd love you to join us.
Love our online sessions? Don't worry - they're staying! Our online groups will continue on the alternate months, offering a supportive, welcoming space for adult conversations around gender, transition, pride, shared experiences, and everything in between.
Whether you've been part of our community for years or you're thinking about joining us for the very first time, you are welcome here. Let's build connections, create visibility, and remind ourselves and our young people that there are so many ways to be a family, and every one of them deserves to feel seen. 🏳️⚧️💜
